Pitchford: Kolbe for Aspen City Council

Emily Kolbe will bring much-needed fresh perspective and endless energy to city council. She is a certified local — her family has been in Aspen for decades, she and her siblings grew up in Aspen, and she is a parent of a high schooler, a volunteer, and a local business owner and operator.
Having known her for most of her life, I can say with confidence she has strength of character, bone-deep integrity, and strong values that are a much-needed foundation to navigate the heavy lifting of current and upcoming issues — the Lumberyard, the Entrance to Aspen, climate change, the ever challenging balancing of growth and development, and preserving our cherished small town character.
She is smart and savvy, kind and personable, and most importantly, committed to doing what’s best for Aspen. She is our hope for kina’ole, a Hawaiian concept which means “doing the right thing, in the right way, at the right time, in the right place, to the right person, for the right reason, with the right feeling … .”
Please vote now, and vote Emily Kolbe for Aspen City Council.
