Long time Aspen resident, Jere Rood passed away after a brief illness Saturday April 12th. Jere first came to Aspen in the ’70s as a ski bum and worked many jobs in town including lift operator and bus driver. Jere was the director at Lift Up for many years helping those in need within the community. Services will be held May 31st at the Aspen Community Church
