Snowmass Tourism publishes strong summer event lineup

Snowmass residents and visitors are in for a packed 2025 lineup this summer.

The 50th anniversary of the Snowmass Balloon festival, the debut of a new Oktoberfest, the Snowmass Free Concert Series, the Snowmass Rodeo, the Snowmass Rendezvous, and the Heritage Fire are a few of the events Snowmass residents and visitors can expect this summer, according to a Snowmass Tourism press release. 

“Snowmass summer events are truly iconic,” Julia Theisen, Tourism Director for Snowmass Tourism, said in the release. “This summer’s fun-filled calendar is full of entertainment meant to bring the community together.”



Ragnar Trail Colorado, June 6-7

Trail runners can return for another year to compete in the Ragnar Trail Colorado, a relay-style race rotating between three loops starting and ending at Snowmass, according to the release. All of the loops begin and end at Ragnar Village in Snowmass Town Park during a 24-hour period. 

Snowmass Free Concert Series, June 12-Aug. 21

The Snowmass Free Concert Series returns to Fanny Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday nights between June 12 and Aug. 21, featuring country, reggae, rock, funk, bluegrass, and more.

Snowmass Rendezvous, June 14

Snowmass residents and visitors can enjoy bottomless adult beverages, tastings, games, and live music between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on June 14. Event producers Two Parks will present a free concert at the Snowmass Mall at the end of the evening. 

Snowmass Rodeo, June 18-Aug. 20

Returning for its 51st year, the Snowmass Rodeo is once again back for the summer at 7 p.m. every Wednesday between June 18 and Aug. 20. Doors open at 5 p.m. for a barbeque dinner. Cowboys and cowgirls will compete in bull riding, barrel riding, saddle bronc, and more.

4th of July Celebration, July 4

Snowmass will host a free concert on Fanny Hill featuring the Spazmatics for 4th of July. The town will provide treats and glow in the dark goodies.

COMEDY WKND, July 10-13

COMEDY WKND returns to Snowmass for the third year, hosted by The Collective Snowmass and Snowmass Live. National comedic talent will descend on The Collective between July 10 and July 13 for the event, with the full comedy lineup announced April 21. 

Audi Power of Four, July 19

Endurance racers will return to the four Aspen Snowmass mountains for the summer Audi Power of Four Race Series, a 50k Ultra that covers the four aspen mountains on single track and dirt road. The event also offers a 25K race along the Government Trail covering Buttermilk and Snowmass mountains, and a 10K starting from Elk Camp Restaurant, traversing Snowmass and ending on Fanny Hill.

Heritage Fire, Aug. 2

From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Snowmass Base Village, residents and visitors can enjoy food at the Heritage Fire, an outdoor feast uniting live-fire cooking, family farms, and local chefs. Food will be available from “the most critically acclaimed kitchens, utilizing products from locally-sourced farms and sponsors,” according to the release.

Plein Air Art Festival, Aug. 9-10

Twenty artists will come to Snowmass for four days of painting around the town, before their art will be judged and displayed on Aug. 9 and Aug. 10.

Cidermass, Aug. 16

More than 30 vendors and distillers of hard ciders and seltzers will come to Snowmass on Aug. 16 to host a tasting between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.

2025 JAS Labor Day Experience, Aug 29-31

Jazz Aspen Snowmass will feature three days of open-air performances in Snowmass Town Park between Aug. 29 and Aug. 31 for their 2025 JAS Labor Day Experience, including acts from Imagine Dragons, Lenny Kravitz, Luke Combs, Cannons, Lawrence, Max McNown, Marcus King Band, and Grace Bowers & The Hodge Podge.

Snowmass balloon Festival, Sept. 12-14

Snowmass will celebrate the 50-year anniversary of the Snowmass Balloon Festival this September, featuring three days of hot air balloons at the Snowmass Town Park. The festival will have 40 total balloons, more balloons than ever before, according to the release. Bloody Mary, Mimosa Bars, and breakfast vendors will be available to event-goers. 

Snowmass Oktoberfest, Sept. 27-28

Capping off the summer season, Two Parts will present the inaugural Snowmass Oktoberfest, with festivities from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 27, and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Snowmass Mall and Snowmass Base Village. The festival will feature traditional Oktoberfest classics, including steins of beer, pretzel slapping contests, food specials, live music, lederhosens and more. Participants must be 21 or over to drink, but the festival is open to the general public.
