Maroon Creek Trail ribbon cutting to be held on Tuesday, Oct. 29
The city of Aspen will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Maroon Creek Multi-Use Trail, according to a news release.
The event will take place from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at the Aspen Recreation Center campus.
The event is open to the public, and all community members are encouraged to attend.
Designed for cyclists and pedestrians, the Maroon Creek Multi-Use Trail offers a safe, scenic route through the Maroon Creek corridor, according to the release. It enhances outdoor recreation opportunities while supporting sustainable transportation in Aspen.
“We are thrilled to open the Maroon Creek Multi-Use Trail and provide our community with a space that promotes wellness and connectivity,” John Spiess, the city’s senior open space and natural resource manager, said in the release.
Attendees are invited to explore the trail after the ceremony and are encouraged to bring their bicycles or walking shoes to enjoy the newest addition to Aspen’s trail infrastructure.
