Iron Mountain Hot Springs celebrates 10 years with spring renovations and expanded offerings

Iron Mountain Hot Springs is getting a fresh look just in time for its 10th anniversary this summer — and guests will soon have more ways than ever to soak, relax and recharge.
The hot springs destination kicked off a major spring remodel this week, including a full renovation of its locker rooms, new inspired soaking pools, and the addition of a global-themed wellness circuit to the WorldSprings section of the property.
“We’re celebrating 10 years in July, so this spring was the perfect time to make some upgrades,” Iron Mountain General Manager Aaron McAllister said. “We’re excited about the direction we’re heading and what we’re going to be able to offer guests by the summer.”
The locker room renovations officially began March 31 and will continue through May 22. As part of the project, Iron Mountain will close entirely from April 7–10 and again from April 21–24. The facility will reopen at 4 p.m on April 11 and April 25
While the bathhouse is under construction, guests will still have access to showers and restrooms through mobile units located just outside the building. To thank visitors for their patience, all food and beverage purchases will be 25% off throughout the remodel period.
McAllister said locker room improvements include upgraded tile, more durable commercial-grade faucets, and better-placed wall-mounted shower heads to accommodate guests who prefer not to get their hair wet.
The expansion portion of the project will add multiple new soaking pools, with temperatures ranging from 55 to 104 degrees. These new pools will support cold and hot therapy, which McAllister said is increasingly popular.
“We’ll definitely be able to lean into that contrast therapy with the new pools,” he said. “And the idea is to also help educate our guests on how to get the most out of it.”
That education will come through staff guidance and new wellness-focused programming planned as part of the expansion. The property’s WorldSprings area — recently rebranded as Premier Access 21+ — will feature a globally themed wellness circuit designed to promote a slower, more intentional soaking experience.
“We want guests to understand how to use the hot and cold pools in a way that brings the most benefit,” McAllister said. “It’s not just jumping from one to the next — there’s a real rhythm and science to it.”
Guests will also see improvements to the General Access area, including new family-friendly amenities.
In addition to the renovations, Iron Mountain has rolled out several new guest offerings:
- A new five-hour soak option, available for just $15 more than the standard three-hour visit
- Robe rentals for $15
- EZ Charge bracelets, which connect to credit cards for cashless convenience
- A 50% locals’ discount for residents of Garfield, Eagle and Pitkin counties
McAllister said the locals’ discount functions like a lottery system. On the 15th of each month, Iron Mountain releases hundreds of discounted tickets for the following month. Local residents can find and purchase them online until they sell out.
“It’s been a big win,” he said. “It’s not something where a local can walk in anytime and get 50% off — they have to grab those discounted slots when they go live. But the response has been great.”
As the remodel continues, McAllister said the team is focused on maintaining a smooth guest experience — and building excitement for what’s to come.
“We know construction isn’t ideal,” he said. “But we’re going to come out of this in mid-May looking really good — and that’s just the start. We’ve got more coming this summer that we can’t wait to share.”For more information about Iron Mountain Hot Springs and to reserve tickets, visit ironmountainhotsprings.com.
