Best Buddies, The Gentlemen of Aspen team up for rugby game ahead of June Friendship Walk

Ahead of its second annual Friendship Walk in June, Best Buddies teamed up with The Gentlemen of Aspen for a friendly game of non-tackle rugby.
The game, played on Sunday, March 16, in Aspen, was filled with fun, camaraderie, and a shared sense of community showcasing the inclusive power of sports, according to a Best Buddies news release.
“Our club values community and couldn’t be prouder to join hands with Best Buddies. Rugby is a sport built on camaraderie, teamwork, and family, and it was incredible to see those values come to life on the field,” Gents Club President Risteard Mulcahy said in the release. “Watching the players and buddies come together was inspiring.
“We look forward to the Best Buddies Walk on June 1.”
The Best Buddies Walk, slated for 1:15 p.m. June 1, will begin at Basalt River Park and will circumnavigate the town of Basalt until 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome to join the Best Buddies and the Gentlemen of Aspen on this fundraising walk.
