Aspen Snowmass announces jam-packed spring calendar

The weather is heating up, and April is just around the corner, which means Aspen Snowmass is switching to full-spring mode.
With events planned almost every weekend, there will be plenty to do for residents and visitors, according to an Aspen Skiing Company news release..
From Friday, March 28, through Sunday, March 30, there will be concerts at The Cabin at Snowmass. On Saturday, March 29, James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem will be doing a DJ set from 2:30-4:00 p.m. On Sunday, March 30, DJ Koastle will be performing at the same time.
Also this weekend is the Battle in the Bowl on Saturday. Participants will be doing as many bowl laps as possible before the clock runs out. Registration is open until 9 a.m. on this day at this webpage: aspensnowmass.com/visit/events/battle-in-the-bowl.
In addition to the Battle of the Bowl that same day, there is a Limitless Challenge at Snowmass. The challenge asks individuals teams of four to compete and fundraise by skiing as many vertical feet as possible in one day.
Fans of the Ullrhof restaurant at Aspen can celebrate its closing on Sunday ahead of its renovation that is set to begin this summer. The party will be ’70s-themed to honor Ullrhof’s heritage, according to the release.
Hotdog Hans (played by Olympian Alex Ferreira) will be in town next Friday, April 4, along with Johnny Moseley at Aspen Highlands. The retro-themed event will take place on Scarlet’s Run above Merry Go Round on Highlands, and skiers and riders can compete or watch head-to-head bump competitions. Competitors will receive a complimentary hot dog.
Closing days are right around the corner as well with Buttermilk’s closing day, kicking off on Sunday, April 6. Highlands closing will be on the following Sunday, April 13. Snowmass and Aspen will close on the same weekend, Saturday, April 19, and Sunday, April 20, respectively.
