Aspen Nordic Bonfire celebrates 40 years of winter magic this Saturday

Austin Colbert/The Aspen Times
The Aspen Valley Ski & Snowboard Club is celebrating four decades of the Nordic Bonfire, a beloved community event that brings together Nordic skiing, local food, and winter festivities under the stars.
The event is set for Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Aspen Nordic Center, promising an evening of outdoor adventure, warm fires, and community spirit.
This year, the Family Wave at 4 p.m. is designed for families with young children to enjoy the full experience at an earlier time.
The Main Event begins at 5:30 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m., with trails glowing under soft lighting, hearty fare from Honey Butter, and multiple ways to explore the course — by ski, snowshoe, or on foot.
