Aspen Meadows ResortHotel Jeromeand The Little Nell are proud to bring back the second edition of the Aspen Croquet Cup on Sunday, September 22, from 11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

“Last year’s inaugural Aspen Croquet Cup was a huge success because we came together as a community for a bit of friendly competition, a lot of laughs, and a big impact through our donations,” said Richard Stettner, Vice President for Aspen Campus Facilities and Operations at The Aspen Institute, which owns the Aspen Meadows Resort. in a press release. “This year, we’re hoping to have even more participation and spectators join us for what we see as Aspen’s social event of the fall, with beneficiaries including Dance Aspen, Challenge Aspen, Roaring Fork Conservancy, Basalt Education Foundation, the Chris Klug Foundation, and more.”

The event will take place at the Aspen Meadows’ Marble Garden, with croquet play, mixing and mingling, excellent food and drinks, live music, and fundraising for local causes. Details, tickets, sponsorship opportunities, and more can be found at https://www.aspencroquetcup.org/

There are several ways to take part:

  • Play croquet on a team of two. Team registration is a flat fee of $2,500, with teams choosing their local charity to help make a difference.
  • Become a sponsor. An array of options is available starting from $1,000  (inclusive of gratuity/service charge).
  • Watch all the fun and cheer on your favorite team. Spectator tickets can be purchased for $116 (inclusive of gratuity/service charge).

All participants and guests must be 21 or older and are asked to respect the Aspen Croquet Cup dress code by wearing lawn-friendly shoes, a hat to shade the eyes, and all-white attire (or light khaki is also acceptable). Foodstuff: Garden party

As you may have read, I am in a season-long battle with my CSA box, trying desperately to use all the vegetables during this last blast of summer, so I jumped at the chance to force my uneaten produce onto innocent partygoers.
