More shuttles, fewer cars

Dear Editor:

Is there some valid reason why the shuttle buses cannot be run year-round? Isn’t it more economical to run them instead of the big buses during the offseasons?

It seems that during the offseasons, bus service in Aspen runs on the east side of town and not enough service is on the west side. Also, with most workers living in Hunter Creek, Smuggler and Centennial, a shuttle bus is needed going in the reverse direction of the Hunter Creek Bus.

If RFTA and the City Council want people to leave their cars at home, public transportation should be more inviting and convenient.
